# Create an email account

> How to create email accounts in cPanel for your domain, with options for username, password, and storage quota.

Every Web Hosting and WordPress Hosting plan includes email hosting. You can create email accounts for any domain on your cPanel account and access them through Webmail or a mail client.

## Create an email account

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open Email Accounts">
    Log in to cPanel through your [client area](https://my.speedypage.com) or at `yourdomain.com/cpanel`. Go to **Email** and click **Email Accounts**.

  <Step title="Start creating the account">
    Click **Create**. The account creation form will open.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose a domain">
    If you have more than one domain on your account, select the domain from the **Domain** menu. If you only have one domain, this option does not appear.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the username">
    Enter the part before the `@` symbol in the **Username** field. For example, entering `hello` creates the address `hello@yourdomain.com`.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set a password">
    Choose **Set password now** and enter a password, or click **Generate** to create one automatically.

    You can also choose **Send login link to alternate email address** if you want the account owner to set their own password.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Set the storage quota">
    Under **Optional Settings**, choose a storage limit for the mailbox or select **Unlimited**. Setting a quota prevents one account from consuming all your disk space.

  <Step title="Create the account">
    Click **Create**. The new account appears in the Email Accounts list.

<Note>
  You cannot rename an email account or change its address after creation. If you need a different address, create a new account and set up a [forwarder](/web-hosting/email/forwarders) from the old address.

  Tick **Stay on this page after I click Create** if you need to set up several accounts in a row.
