The Bandwidth interface in cPanel shows how much data your account has transferred over HTTP, FTP, and email. Use it to monitor traffic patterns and check whether you’re approaching your plan’s bandwidth allocation.

Check your bandwidth usage

Log in to cPanel through your client area or at yourdomain.com/cpanel. Go to Metrics and click Bandwidth. The interface shows your total bandwidth used during the current month, along with a breakdown by service:
ServiceWhat it measures
HTTPWeb traffic to and from your sites
FTPFile transfers through FTP/FTPS
IMAPEmail retrieved by clients using IMAP
POP3Email retrieved by clients using POP3
SMTPOutgoing email sent from your account

Time period views

You can view bandwidth data across different time ranges:
  • Past 24 hours — shows hourly usage, useful for spotting traffic spikes
  • Past week — daily usage over the last 7 days
  • Past month — daily usage over the current calendar month
  • Past year — monthly usage totals
Each view includes graphs showing both incoming and outgoing data.
Bandwidth figures may not update instantly. There can be a short delay before recent traffic appears in the stats.
If your site is using more bandwidth than expected, enabling a CDN can offload static assets (images, CSS, JavaScript) from your server. See the CDN setup guide for how to configure this with SpeedyPage.
